FAULT LINE LIVING

From Iceland to Iran

Follow the amazing adventures of Tamsin, Serena and Adam, as they travel 15,000 miles exploring and documenting the human stories of people who live along the world's most active fault lines.

Having won the 2010 'Go Beyond' bursary from The Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) and Land Rover, they approached to build a website that allowed them to document the expedition in video, image and blog format while on the road.

Design Week 2009

This Years Roundup

Last week the world's design community descended on London for this year's Design Week, held every year during September. Everyone from the studio (apart from Yann who's further afield in Canada) was out and about. Here are the highlights from the week.

Our Friends at Disruptive Thinking Win Gold!:
Really very original work from the latest crop of RCA interaction grads

The most innovative furniture came from Benjamin Hubert:
Original and sensitive use of materials and processes

Lovely furniture from our friends at 'Warm':
This year Warm released the Great Console table - a clever , elegant and adaptable table perfect for domestic or retail environments

Beautiful hand made furniture :
The reinvigorated furniture makers from Portugal are now working with some of the best furniture designers

Amazing interactive at Memo:
We were a little jealous when we saw this digital interactive display from Memo. Simply beautiful

The Dock & Tom Dixon:
Over at Derwent Valley's latest development -Portobello Dock, Tom Dixon gathered up some emerging talent and interesting design pieces from all over the world.

Of particular note were the single speed multi coloured delights from Tokyo Bike company. Beautifully modelled to the left here by our very own Mr Hay. We didn't notice at the time, but they're really rather small.

POUPART

40 Not Out

One of our long standing clients Poupart, briefed us to produce a witty party invite. The party, celebrating 40 years in the fresh fruit business, was held at Lord's cricket ground.

We printed the invite using letterpress which gave the whole piece an embossed texture and craft feel.
