We were approached to create an original brand and identity for Daniel Goldberg’s new design studio. Having worked on some of London’ s most valuable developments, including the Shard Residences, the studios focus is beautifully crafted interior design with a strong architectural background. We developed the name, State of Craft, which was a reflection of the studios strong ethos for exceptional craftsmanship and a high attention to detail.
In close collaboration, a coherent visual language was created for the brand. The concept behind this was to consider the two design scales of the company; their background in architecture, with the focal point on interior design. This then was implemented by combining structures and textures found in nature, underlining and visualising complementary micro and macro scales. A custom drawn version of the brands typeface was constructed to form a simple whilst recognisable monogram, and for the colour scheme dark blue is complimented with a punchy orange for the accent colour.
